Blok Inc. from New Zealand - So Much Trouble, So Much Arrogance

Dear America,

Good evening to The United States of Apathy. You are a province that arrogantly parades yourself to the rest of the world as a place of freedom, equality and democracy. Yes there is a world outside your borders. Yes we know you think your better than us. Yes we are sick of you’re sh*t and it wont be tolerated much longer.

Your clock is ticking.

There is nothing free, equal or democratic about your country or even your fragile society.
You are a province that came from such promising beginnings, yet you have grown into a filthy orgy of consumption, corruption and crime. Your forefathers would be ashamed.

But you don’t need us to tell you that, just look outside of your air conditioned apartment. There are no birds singing, no jolly faces. War veterans with missing limbs, lost fighting to protect your "freedom". Homeless, jobless, begging to make a living. Policemen beating, shooting innocent citizens because of their skin pigmentation. Teens not making it to see their 21st birthdays because they eat to much McDonald's. Millions of inefficient engines getting a mere few miles per gallon, pumping thousands of tones of pollutants into OUR atmosphere.

The rich getting richer. The poor getting poorer. The fat getting fatter.

This is how we see you, and you wonder why you have so little friends?

Your people want you to wean out terrorism in you’re precious land. Your answer? Bomb the Iraqis! Hang the leader! Torture defenseless prisoners! Convince the mainstream everything is OK! Your people want out of Iraq and have for a long time. You are still there; loosing sons, brothers, fathers, limbs, lives, wives and for what? Democracy? Justice? Oil? You cant even seem to help yourselves. Don’t get us started on your aid attempt in New Orleans, we'll just say that we bet the response would have been "different" if the disaster was, say, in LA.

Your people want this, your people want that. All they seem to get is the bill for your mistakes.

In a world that is becoming increasingly conscious of your choices, I would advise you watch your steps, as they are being analyzed by the rest of us.

Apathy is bliss.

"I would advise you watch your steps, as they are being analyzed by the rest of us."

Ooh, how impressive! My steps are being "analyzed" by a 19 year old kid in New Zealand who proudly lists his occupation as "thug". Color me thoroughly impressed and humbled. LMAO.

"There are no birds singing, no jolly faces" [in America]

Oh, mercy. For your sake, I hope this was a parody. It's either intentionally hilarious or unintentionally hilarious. One reflects well on you, the other doesn't. If intentional, bravo! Brilliant satire. If unintentional... oh, Lordy. There's a reason people laugh AT you and not WITH you.

(Oh, look! A singing birdy outside my very own window! I must not be in America anymore. Will a jolly face be not far behind? Have I gone over the rainbow?? )

I have no idea where you lived or how old you were when you lived in the U.S., but you totally missed the real American experience. The vast majority of Americans are very compassionate, not arrogant. If there was a major disaster in New Zealand, who do you think would be there first to help you with the most aid, and keep on helping you until the crisis was behind you?

When a natural disaster occurs anywhere in the world, the U.S. government responds quickly and generously. That's nice, but what I find impressive is the incredible amount of supplies and money the American private sector contributes on top of the government aid (which we already paid for via our taxes).

It sounds like you're a victim of too much television and not enough reality. The stuff you see in American TV and movies is fantasy and entertainment. It's drama and sensationalism. Even the news only shows the most extreme situations. The average American never experiences any of that stuff in their whole life.

"There is nothing free, equal or democratic about your country or even your fragile society."

That statement is ludicrous. We have plenty of problems to deal with in a country of 300 million people. But, freedom and equality are not on that list, and "fragile society" doesn't even make any sense at all. I realize that when you're 19 you tend to think you know everything and have life all figured out (been there, done that). But, you'll discover in hindsight that you were actually incredibly naive, gullible, and easily mislead at this point in your life.

Glad you are there and I am here.

Occupation: Not gonna say- but I bet your country spends millions of dollars buying what my company makes and uses it to help save lives there.

What impresses me the most is that while we watch TV in the US to be entertained there are so many outside our borders like you who think that if it is on TV it must be true. Well give this a thought, when you watch a five day weather forcast on the news, how accurate is that "unbiased and untainted by agenda" piece of reporting?

Step outside of your TV and Media Cubicle Blok Inc and go experience living for 'real" in America...Go meet some real hardworking everyday Americans...buy a car ,see how much it costs you to fill it up , rent an apartment and then see how much money you have left at the end of week , pay some taxes then receieve a generous payout when that Government makes money on that interest.. ( your hard earned money...
Just as a matter of interest Blok Inc...do ya know why Kiwis pay so much more tax than the average American...cuz we are still sending money back to the Crown....why??? I dont know why do you ???....oh because we are a Commonwealth Country ...then um why dont we share the wealth ...ya know as the name "Common Wealth" suggests....its a joke aint it...and heres another lil fact that may have escaped youre nineteen years of wisdom.. Britain did not come to New Zealands Aid during either Wars...America did...funny that ...yet our soldiers were somewhere in the middle east fighting Britains war....crazy or arrogant??..hmm...nahhh my advice kiwi boy is go truly live in the states for a couple of years...and develop a more open mind...America may not be home of the brave an free but then New Zealand is no longer clean an green either...( see thats Governments of both countries brainwashing the boys n girls...of both countries....
