Hamid from Iran

Dear America,

U.S.A is the country that I've never been there & I think I will never be there!
But this country is very important for me because my favourite singer & some other Iranian artists are living there (because our dictator regime has forbidden their art in Iran!!!).

In other hand, U.S government claims that they want freedom for Iranian people but they do nothing for it!

These days they are only disagreement with nuclear energy in Iran.

I don't know is Islamic Republic searching for atomic bomb or not, but I know abundant attention to this affair, cause to deviate world opinions about human rights in Iran.

Here we cannot express our opinions freely, women have to wear a large veil to cover her body and hair, in university we have to study religion & Islamic subjects and there are a lot of problems..

I just wanna say this:
Nuclear Energy in not most important problem in Iran, please open your eyes...

Sorry for my bad English!!!

Thanks for your attention to my letter your sincerely,

Hamid from Iran

    thank you dear Javid...

    I really don't know

    Hamid,

You got the theocracy you wanted. Iranians were crazy for Khomeini when he took over. If you don't want to put up with the mullahs suppression of your liberty, boot them out just like you booted the Shah out.

The fact is that America learned its lesson about interfering with other countries internal politics. We're not messing with other countries unless they present a threat outside their borders.

    Dear Tantor:
You said "We're not messing with other countries unless they present a threat outside their borders"

Great, I agree with you 100%.
Mullahs will have Nuclear Weapons soon. Isn't that a threat to you or world peace!!!???
Mullahs have said many times that they want to destroy Israel and America. Are you going to sit and watch Mullahs detonate a Nuclear bomb in New York subway!!????

Stop Mullahs before it is too late............

Cyrus the great - I have a couple of questions for you.

First, by "Mullahs" - what do you mean? (Are you referring to Islamic clergy?) I am not familiar with this term and hope that you can provide a bit more insight on this subject.

Secondly, why do the Mullahs hate America and Israel so much? What has America/Israel done to anger/spite these "Mullahs" so much that they preach messages of hate and destruction toward these countries. (I realize that a lot of countries despise America right now because of "President" Bush and what he's done. But please realize that not all Americans support "President" Bush! Infact, there have been *A LOT* of protests *BY AMERICANS* against President Bush, *HIS* war, and *HIS* decisions/tactics! He also has the lowest approval rating in American president history - at just 28%!!!)

The tensions between US and Iran have deep roots and cannot be simplified by pointing the finger at one group of poeple in Iran such as the "mullahs." I am a 57 year old Iranian who has lived in US for over 36 years. I am secular and not religous - but I do not blame the "mullahs." Certainly I would like to see a secular government in Iran. But, what the "Mullahs" are doing is preventing the US to install another puppet regime in Iran as in most of the rest of the Middle East.

Mr. Hamid, you do not know much about US - you just see this country on TV. There are many many bad things in US just as there are good things. The US media, controlled by big corporations do not show you the real US - just its nice material things.
