Incident from South America - Why?

Dear America,

Almost all the young kids in Africa want to come live in U.S.A. thinking that it's the best country on earth. Little do they know, how U.S.A. is so full of RACISM. Malcolm X, Martin Luther King posed as a threat to all the white Americans so what did you do? You killed them but we forgave you. Us blacks have never killed any of your leaders but there is still so much whites that hate Blacks, WHY?

Then you people go on and attack Iraq and enjoy it for what? weapons of mass destruction that were never found? Then Osama attacks and kills 2000 people and you start crying cause your family members died in the 2000 people that Osama killed forgetting that Bush Has killed more than 5000 people in Iraq. All that I'm saying is that you People shouldn't be so Ignorant and stop making an enemy out of the whole World.

"Then you people go on and attack Iraq and enjoy it for what? weapons of mass destruction that were never found? Then Osama attacks and kills 2000 people and you start crying"

You've got the chronological order completely backwards, Sparky.

Racism in the U.S.? Much less than in most other countries. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, former Secretary of State Colin Powell, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, Presidential Candidate Barack Obama, etc. America has come a long way in tackling racism. How many other countries can say that? How many minorites are there in high places in, for instance, the British government?

"Malcolm X, Martin Luther King posed as a threat to all the white Americans so what did you do? You killed them but we forgave you."

By the way, it's not "your" place to forgive "us" for the murders of Malcolm X and MLK. "We" didn't kill them, individuals did, just as individuals killed JFK and Robert Kennedy. Were they killed because they were white?

Well it sure shows that the creator of this blog entry truly hasn't been to the US. Incidents of racism inside the US are lower than in most parts of the world. If the US was so full of racism, they would have had another civil war by now and then some. Oh and by the way, their president, Bush, started the Iraq war, not the American People.

Malcolm X wasn't killed by just any individual(s), but by his very own ex-group (The Nation of Islam?), which he had belonged to & left shortly before his murder!

As far as the tragedy of Mr. King goes, an individual did kill him, but that individual did not represent me in the slightest!

Not only that, but as a previous commentor here already pointed out about JFK & his brother. Other prominent leader's & celebrities, whether it's national-Regan or cultural-John Lennon, have been target's of assasination by some idiot or weirdo fringe group from time to time!

That's just one of the bleak facts that comes with the territory of having an extremely high profile name! There is no "why" did it happen, it just did. All that had transpired had taught alot of U.S.Americans plenty of valuable lesson's. It's a pity most of the world skipped out on that lesson!

I would have to agree with the other responders. When it comes to racism, sure it exists in the U.S. and that's very unfortunate. But from a relative viewpoint, there is FAR LESS racism in the U.S. than most other places I've ever heard of. Even if racism has been eradicated "formally" in the US, you may still say that it still "institutionally" exists here. True or not, I think your concern may be a bit exaggerated.
